I've been drawing animals since the spring of 1984, my senior year in high school. The first thing I remember drawing was the olympic mascot for that year, Sam the Eagle. I taught myself to draw from an interest in Disney's and Don Bluth's animated films. I wanted to make my own films. Now that the world is in the digital age, and production is a bit more affordable, I can. I have several short film projects in development. Next year I'm looking into some formal art training in order to build my skill set to benefit my own art and turn a hobby into a creative profession. |

I have quite a library of pre-production art books and glad that many studios are now publishing the work of their artists. I love the work that conceptual artists do and wish I had the talent to pursue a line of work down that path. My goals for next year are to upgrade the software I'm currently using, dive head first into digital painting, and conceptual art study. |
